Dark Ambient master Lustmord lends his celebrated sound design skills to the soundtrack for "First Reformed", the 2017 feature film written and directed by Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver), starring Ethan Hawke, Amanda Seyfried, and Cedric Kyles. This release features extended versions of the score formatted as a standalone album. Often credited for creating the dark ambient genre with his 1990 album "Heresy", Lustmord's music is sweeping and profound; a vast dreamlike soundscape that utilizes organic and real-world scenes as source material. Lustmord albums have been made from recordings of caves, crypts, car crashes, cosmological activity, the Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the site of the first-ever nuclear detonation. Includes an extra vinyl-only track "Venice" which was featured at the Venice Film Festival red carpet event. Presented in a gatefold sleeve.
